Introduction
Golf is great - unfortunately many golfers find the game difficult to play and the potential for enjoyment is lost. "Same Day Golf Swing" was written to help golfers understand the basics of the golf swing and to explain that with a little effort their game will improve significantly. Yes, you can understand and master the golf swing in one day - exposing the myth that improvement only comes with lots of practice and continuous playing.
Bad Habits
The only thing worse that having bad swing habits is not recognizing your faults and failing to correcting them. This problem invites frustration and is very discouraging. "Same Day Golf Swing" exposes the baseball swing as the "villain" in most cases. This chapter reveals how easy it is to improve your game with the knowledge of the differences between the baseball and the golf swing.
Step 1 - Eliminating Forward and Backward Movement During the Golf Swing.
Stability is so important because the golf swing creates tremendous centrifugal force and the upper body is subject to movement. In order to decrease this upper body movement, you must first find your foundation stance. The simple exercise in this chapter enables you find your foundation stance within minutes. If, in a round of golf, you find yourself moving either backwards or forwards before or during a golf swing, you will now be able to recognize the problem and locate your stable foundation stance.
Step 2 - Preventing Swaying Either to the Left or Right on the Backswing.
In Step 1 we learned how to control body movement from front to back during the golf swing. Now we will discuss preventing body movement from left to right. Another simple exercise will further establish the firm foundation stance created in Step 1. Remember, the most important building block of a consistent golf swing is a strong foundation stance - and we show you how to do it in minutes!
Step - 3 - Establishing the Correct Grip Alignment
At the grip, the golfer and the golf club meet. This is without a doubt a most important junction. A solid, well coordinated grip will assure a good consistent shot. Perhaps this is the reason a good grip is considered to be the ultimate goal among many golfers. If everything else works well in a golf swing and the grip is poor, you are headed for disaster. My goal in this step is to describe the proper mechanics of the basic golf grip and how they are essential in producing MAXIMUM club head speed during the downswing. By naturally creating maximum club head speed you automatically increase the distance the ball travel.
Step 4 - Putting It All Together Into a Correct and Solid Golf Swing.
You are now ready to hit the golf ball. During the next two seconds, several muscles will be put into action to perform a very complicated athletic maneuver. In addition to all the muscle coordination, the golfer's mind is full of club selection and shot information. Talk about mental overload! This chapter shows you how to coordinate and automatically use your muscles to find your NATURAL source of power. You will also discover how to automatically recreate a swing plane that is accurate and consistent with every shot. Together they produce most exciting and satisfying golf swing a golfer can ever have.
Step - 5 The Mental Side of Golf / Planning the Golf Shot
When you are free of all the technical details of golf you can concentrate with confidence on each shot. It is with this freedom that you will improve your score and have more fun with your game.
Other chapters include instruction on how to apply the "Same Day Golf Swing" method to chipping, sand shots and putting as well as simple exercises for when your not on the course.
